BMW

BMW is a German auto maker. The company produces many vehicles, as well as motorcycles. The company has long been an auto maker that produces high quality cars that are luxurious, and a company that is highly competitive in the market.

At the beginning of BMW, they were producing aircraft engines. However, after the Versailles Armistice Treaty, the company was forced to find other ways in which to survive and keep functioning. This is when they turned to the production of motorcycles in 1923. A few years later, around 1928, BMW added vehicle production to their list. Their motorcycle production is often viewed as very innovative, as they were the first to do many things in regard to motorcycles. For example, equipping motorcycles with anti-lock brakes, as well as, adding side cars to their motorcycles. However, even though they were the tops of motorcycle production, today BMW is mostly known for their high performance vehicles that have competed in several races and won.

The BMW logo is a circle with blue and white inside the circle. This was designed as a way to show the heritage of BMW. Meaning that the white parts of the circle are meant to symbolize airplane propellers, while the blue represents the sky. This is a fact that not many people are aware of. However, it just goes to show that the company is true to its roots.

BMW is also a significant player in Environmental issues. The company strives for environmental excellence in every vehicle that they manufacture. Which means that these cars have notably less emissions than other comparable cars. In addition, the company is always looking for ways in which they can lessen the impact that the company is having on the environment. In fact, the company has recently announced their hydrogen fueled car, however, this is gaining lots of skepticism from automotive professionals for various reasons.

Every car in the BMW series is labeled with a letter, and then a few numbers (for example the BMW Z4). This is the normal route for which the manufacturer goes in order to define each different vehicle. For many vehicles, they will have the same letter, which means that they are of the same series, however, the numbers will be different in accordance with the model and style of the series vehicle.

One of the most interesting factors about the BMW company is that it has always been BMW. The company has never been owned or sold to another company. The company has always been a company of Rolls Royce. And if looking closely you can see many similarities between the two automakers. For example, their devotion to performance and luxury that both car companies possess. In addition, both companies are those that are considered environmentally conscious, a huge plus for many consumers as they are looking to buy from a company with this sort of devotion.
